So what's it all about ?
In 2016 Malcolm Bailey, of the Friends of Bollington Towpath Adoption Group, suggested a bit of a "do" and we brought together some historic narrowboats, a couple of elements of folk music, and involvement from the Waterside Cafe and the Canal and River Trust and had an enjoyable, informal weekend by the canal.
2017 saw a bigger and better event, helped by our partnership with the operators of Bollington Wharf and their young, enthusiastic team. More boats, more music, and a few surprises. Unfortunately we jinxed the proceedings by stating " and, of course, the weather's almost guaranteed !" Famous last words !
Unfortunately the dry summer and subsequent closure of bosley and MArple lock flight meant no event in 2018, but we're bouncing back in 2019 !
